Pray the Psalter 1.2

The practice of praying the Psalms has been an integral part of the Church's spiritual life since its inception. Historically, communities of believers, from those in Acts 4 invoking Psalm 2 to early monastic traditions that recited the entire Psalter daily, have woven the Psalms into the fabric of Orthodox worship, a tradition that continues to this day.

"Pray the Psalter" provides a structured approach to incorporating the Psalms into daily prayer routines through three distinct methods:

• Prayer of individual Psalms
• Recitation of the Daily Hours featuring Psalms designated for various times of the day
• Engagement with the assigned 'kathismata', or portions thereof, on a daily basis

The application also allows users to bookmark specific Psalms for personal reflections and create custom lists by tagging individual Psalms.

This psalter is based on the King James Version text, modified to align with the Septuagint. May Holy Prophet David intercede for us in our prayers.
